CALIFORNIA: Enters her first season as a setter for the Golden Bears.
HIGH SCHOOL: At Fallbrook High School was the CIF Player of the Year for 2005-06 and the San Diego Division I CIF Player of the Year for 2006-07...was a two-time league MVP and the Fallbrook High School Female Athlete of the Year for 2006-07...a member of PrepVolleyball.com's Top 50 four straight years and a two-time Junior Olympic All-American...also a standout track athlete, earning 2005 Avocado League Track Athlete of the Year honors and was two-time all-league...CIF and state qualifier in the 110-meter hurdles and the long jump, and was a national champion long jumper in 1998.
PERSONAL: Carli Ellen Lloyd was born August 6, 1989 in Fallbrook, Calif....mother is Cindy Lloyd...uncle, Galen Tomlinson, has been a mentor and coach in both volleyball and track and field the past 10 years...has a sister, Coral, 21, and brother, Doug, 20...has not declared a major.
