Frequently Asked Questions
I am a season ticket holder, but this is the first time I have ordered tickets on-line. How do I begin?
Please find your customer number and PIN number at the bottom of the letter that has been mailed to you from Athletic Director, Sandy Barbour. You will need these to register as an on-line customer. Then Click Here and follow the instructions for registering and renewing on-line. If you do not have your customer number and PIN please call (800) GO BEARS for assistance.
I have registered to use the on-line service before, but my customer number and password do not seem to work.
As a registered customer you must go to the "Returning Online Customers" box on the sign in page. Click Here to go to that page. You will be asked to enter your customer number (or the email address that you used to create your online account). If you do not remember your password, click on the "Forgot Password" link and the system will email your password on file. If you cannot remember your customer number or the email address you supplied when you registered, please call (800) GO BEARS for assistance.
How will I know that I have successfully logged in?
When you have logged in successfully, a welcome message with your name will be displayed in the upper left corner of the page and you will be on your master page. If you receive an error message or do not see your name, please call (800) GO BEARS for assistance. Do not create a new account. If you do so you may lose your priority as a season ticket holder and donor.
May I ask to change my order from last year while renewing on-line?
When ordering on-line you will be able to change your order for the coming season: request additional seats, purchase an additional parking permit, a season seatback, or a media guide, subject to availability.
I have special needs or preferences in seating. May I note those while ordering?
We want to know about your special preferences. In the renewal process you will find a place to provide us with your special requests and needs for seating and parking. We encourage you to let us know about these issues. We will review each request, and, if possible, accommodate your preferences. Please be aware, however, that seating and parking assignments are subject to prior sale, and are also a function of Bear Backer donation status. Parking assignments will also depend on the location of the lots and number of spaces in each lot, which are assigned to us by the University Department of Parking and Transportation.
I have GoldZone season tickets. When renewing may I order additional season tickets in the GoldZone?
The GoldZone and BlueZone are now RESERVED seating and the GoldZone SOLD OUT the last two seasons. Therefore, additional requests for season ticket plans in this area are subject to a waiting list and cannot be guaranteed.
Seat locations in the GoldZone and BlueZone will be determined by the date of purchase. Therefore, the earlier you renew, the better your seat location.
The important thing is to be sure to renew your GoldZone season tickets no later than the deadline of Friday April 11th, 2008. After the deadline new requests for GoldZone tickets will be filled from any that have not been renewed. If for any reason your new request for any GoldZone season tickets cannot be filled you will be contacted before you are placed in the BlueZone for 2008.
Can I be sure to receive the same reserved seats I had last year when I make my renewal order?
The renewal deadline is Friday, April 11th. We can guarantee your same seats if you order by this date and meet the necessary minimum donation level for your seating location by June 2. Click Here to see Bear Backers donation information.
I am presently seated in a non-donor location. Is it possible to improve my seats?
Absolutely. If you currently sit in a non-donor section and would like to learn how to improve your seating, please Click Here to review Bear Backers donation information.
I need help ordering, but have been unable to connect to the (800) GO BEARS ticket services help desk. Will I be penalized for not getting my order in during the first few days of the renewal period?
The Athletic Ticket Office will be available to receive your phone calls during the renewal period, however due to the volume of calls, you may experience a delay. Therefore, we encourage you to renew your season tickets over the Internet. On-line transactions are secure and you will be able to notify the Ticket Office of special seating requests when you place your order.
Please note that any requests for seating changes and additional seating will be fulfilled based on season ticket & Bear Backer priority. The important thing is to be sure to renew by the deadline of April 11, 2008.
Since GoldZone and Blue Zone are now reserved seating, how is it decided who sits where?
Seat locations in the GoldZone and BlueZone will be determined by the date of purchase. Therefore, the earlier you renew, the better your seat location.
Can I tell you where I'd prefer to sit in the GoldZone?
When we are assigning your seat location, every effort will be made to accommodate your request. In order to do so, we ask you to please describe where you would like to sit in the seating request area on your online season ticket application. Please list the section or area where you would like to sit and whether you would like to sit in higher, middle or lower seats.
Since in previous years, the GoldZone has been general admission, I have always sat with members of my family. How can we continue sitting together?
If you would like to sit with other season ticket holders, please establish ONE point-person for the group who will gather the names and customer numbers and send them all together directly to the Athletic Ticket Office at:
Cal Athletic Ticket Office
2223 Fulton Street, 1st Floor
Berkeley, CA 94720-4422
